Clemmiec, meaning ‘The Homestead of the Children of the Matriarch Clem,’ is the most northern Bed and Breakfast in the South Island of New Zealand. Standing between the water’s edge of Golden Bay and Kahurangi National Park, Clemmiec is just 4kms south of Farewell Spit, an internationally renowned wetland and nature reserve.
Clemmiec is situated in rural Pakawau, surrounded by dairy farms, with excellent views across Golden Bay and Farewell Spit. Our aim is to make your stay in Golden Bay a comfortable and very very relaxing experience with a truly local host, Gary Climo.
