Eagles Nest judged on of the best hotels in the world in the 2008 Condé Naste Gold List

March 18, 2008

Congratulations to Eagles Nest for being given a 98.9% rating as one of the hotels in the world for ambiance and design.

This is what the judges had to say:

High on a bluff overlooking the Bay of Islands on New Zealand’s North Island, the five-villa Eagles Nest combines privacy and great service with style.

The ultra-chic villas are a slick design fantasy with glass walls and chrome bathrooms. Four villas have infinity-edged lap pools overlooking the ocean.

The extensive wine cellar stocks the best New Zealand and Australian wines.

The resort’s chefs provide in-villa dining, and in-villa massage and fitness sessions with a personal trainer can be arranged.

Activities include waterskiing, diving, kayaking, tennis and golf.

Doubles from NZ$1,407
