High Street Project finally launches
May 23, 2006
It’s taken a while but the High Street Project website is finally live and online with lots of fresh new content.
High Street Project was established in 1992 as a transitional art space for emerging and experimental artists in Christchurch, New Zealand. It is the longest running artist run space in New Zealand and we recently celebrated 12 years of operation with an aniversary show in the government life building.
The High Street Project allows emerging and experimental artists to exhibit within an enthusaistic and supportive space. We operate on a proposal basis that is decided on by a floating memebrship board that is made up from the emerging and experimental artists pool of Christchurch.
The High Street Project is commited to providing a challenging and supportive environment for emerging and experimental artists to develop within. We also extend this support to emerging curators who are also encouraged to submit proposals. Art writers are also invited to participate in the production of a catalogues and archive projects.
